Our Family Manifesto
It’s taken us several years, and multiple iterations, but we’ve finally nailed down our family manifesto.
It’s drawn from our Family Values and took more time than I anticipated to wrestle and debate through.
It now overlooks the entrance of our home, designed and printed on a 4×5 foot PVC board, declaring back to us what our family believes.

Words matter to me. This manifesto gives our family a shared language that we can continuously return to.
There’s something about distilling the essence of something grand into a single sheet of paper. I’ve tended to do this with manifesto’s — World Vision (charity), Feast On It (a food community startup), and unstash (a social enterprise I led)
Inspiration came from all sorts of heroes of ours — Brene Brown, Maya Angelou, Erwin McManus, Glennon Doyle, and I’m sure there are others. Thanks to Ian Kwan for the design. Also, thank you to the altMBA for helping me finally get this side project off the back burner.
